Blackheads are mild type of acne that usually forms on the face. No matter how well you take care of your skin, they just show up sometimes. They can appear on the back, nose, chest, neck, arms, and shoulders, most commonly in teens and pre-menstrual women. Here we have brought some proven home remedies that can help in reducing blackheads.

Home remedies to treat blackheads:

Use baking soda to treat blackheads. Baking soda helps to neutralize any pH imbalance your skin may have, as well as work as exfoliante to remove dirt, oil, and dead skin cells. It should not be used more than two or three days a week, over using may dry the skin.

Directions to use:

  1.    Mix two tablespoons of baking soda and two tablespoons of water together to form a paste.
  2.    Massage the paste onto your face for 5 to 10 mins.
  3.    Rinse off with warm water, and then be sure to moisturize afterward.

Turmeric has antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties. Hence, it can be used to remove blackheads. Note that regular turmeric can stain skin (but kasturi turmeric avoids staining).

Directions to use:

  2.    Apply the paste to your face and let it dry for 10 to 15 minutes.
